Summer Reading

Hi,
I joined the adult summer reading program at the Yorba Linda library this summer. So far I finished Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and now I am going to read Catching Fire. If you blog about your summer reading extra credit awaits you in the fall.

  1. I read Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. Two of the best books I have ever read-we might read them in 8th grade. Not only did I enjoy the reading I was also a winner at the YLPL summer reading program. Keep reading!

  2. I read The Action Research Guidebook this summer and it was spectacular. It informed how to go about performing action research. Funny because I just finished reading a book in my last class describing the exact same thing and this really offered no new knowledge or helpful information. I really do love seeing my time wasted by busy work. However, I was able to put together a rather strong research project which created a simple program to teach character education through cooperative across all grade levels. The paper turned out extremely well with no aid from The Action Research Guidebook.

I also received a job offer to teach high school Literature in a private school. They were quite impressed with my research paper and ability to create engaging fluid lessons integrating literature, grammar and writing. Go ABeka!
