Blog #2 Second Quarter

Remember the second quarter goes quickly. The blog is due on January 21, 2011. Spelling, capitalization, and vocabulary usage are all important.

Julius Caesar Blog

Create a blog entry as one of the following characters from the play: Caesar(postmortem), Antony(before his speech), and Cassius or Brutus (after Antony's speech). Describe your innermost thoughts and feelings, what you cannot say aloud, and what you want the audience to know about you. Do you regret your actions, what would you have one differently if you could, and what are your hopes for the future?

Second Quarter Blog #1

The second quarter has arrived and it will pass by quickly. For those of you who are on the ball you may post your blog early.

First Quarter Blog #2

After you finish this blog we can have a book talk. Make sure that you have your reading log and book with you. Follow the prompt and use spell check.

First Quarter Blog

Welcome to the first blog of the quarter. I want to read about the fabulous novels you have been reading. Remember to post 250-350 words (I will be checking) and that grammar is always important. Capitalize, punctuate, correct fragments and run-ons, subject/verb agreement.

Summer of Fun

Hello Junior High Students, Welcome back to some of you and greetings to the new sixth graders. This summer I was very blessed to spend time with my family, go on vacation, and read many books. I went to Yosemite with my family. We hiked in the valley, saw bears, hung out with raccoons, and fed some squirrels. I spent many lazy days at the beach and hot afternoons in the library reading. Write about your own summer adventures. Be creative and expressive while using your grammatical expertise.

Summer Reading

Hi, I joined the adult summer reading program at the Yorba Linda library this summer. So far I finished Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and now I am going to read Catching Fire. If you blog about your summer reading extra credit awaits you in the fall.

Animal Farm

Pretend that you are a character from Animal Farm. What was your life like before the revolt? Were you well tended and content? How do you feel since the farm has been taken over by the animals? Do you wish Mr. Jones would return? How do you feel about the work you are doing and the wages (food) you are getting in return? Are the Seven Commandments being upheld? Is Napoleon a fair leader? Your diary entry should be 350 to 450 words.
