Right now Teddy, Dad, Mom, and I, are on our way to grandpa's and grandma's house. Teddy keeps screaming "SpongeBob, SpongeBob, I WANT SPONGEBOB", it's getting kind of annoying. Dad and Mom said I get to choose the music when we got in the car, all the way to grandpa's and grandma's house. I start falling asleep, I didn't get much sleep last night because I was thinking about Adam too much. But I don't want to sleep, it's the only time I get to choose the music we listen to in the car! I take one long blink, and suddenly I see this truck coming straight at us at around 75 miles per hour! I don't have time to do anything or think about anything. But then I blink again, the clothes I was wearing when I got in the car are perfectly clean. Was I dreaming? Did I fall asleep and have a nightmare? I pinch myself, I don't feel a thing! I start screaming "Wakeup wakeup wakeup WAKEUP!" Nothing happens, but then I see a hand raising out of the snow. It's a bracelet.. It's my bracelet I am wearing right now! I walk over and look at myself, my shirt is almost fully torn apart. I see people working on me, but then I listen to one of them saying, "Take her to the ER, we have 2 DOA.." Then I think about Teddy, I never told him how much I loved him and my parents. Were both my parents dead? Is Teddy still alive?

Crime is done by many people everyday. Some crime is done for greedy reasons and other crime is done out of desperation. This book has 21 different tales about crime and its consequences. One story in the book called God Sees the Truth but Waits by Leo N. Tolstoy shows a man that was framed for a murder and was put in prison because of it. Years later in prison he meets the true murderer and forgives him for framing him, the innocent man. The next day the innocent man is at peace and dies happily. This particular story shows how a criminal will always be caught somehow and will pay the price for his actions in some way, in other words what comes around goes around. This story also showed that God will see all wrong doing and eventually balance everything. Another story called Without the Option by P.G. Wodehouse was one of my favorites out of the book. One man in the story tells his friend to steal a policeman's helmet. As random as this might seem, it actually leads to a very interesting and funny story. The man who tried to take the helmet gets jail time and his friend must fill in for him at a family reunion. Mr. Wooster, the man filling in for his friend at his reunion, has a lot of funny dialogue while trying to impersonate his friend. In the end he is caught for impersonating his friend, Oliver, and is kicked from the reunion. Oliver soon after gets out of jail. This story shows how crime can have a funny turn and not be always the same cycle of crime, investigation, then being solved. This book showed many great stories about crime and its consequences, and even included a few comedic crime stories other than just having only serious tales.

Hi! It's Isabella Holiday and I am here with Shooting Stars Adam Wilde. So Adam how is it being in England playing this festival and getting ready to kick off another big tour? Well it's feels incredible. To think that we were a little band from Oregon who is now playing everywhere is crazy. So what happened with you and Bryn? You guys just broke up and it seems she has moved on? How are you taking this? I'm taking it well, it never felt right between us, so I'm happy that she found someone else. So are you seeing anyone? “no comment.." Okay one last question, what is next for Shooting Star? I can't really say but I know that there will be changes. Well I guess that's it and hopefully we I'll be able to speak another time. Three Years Later. It's Isabella here with former Shooting Star guitarist and singer Adam Wilde. So Adam last time we talked was in England, you were getting ready for what turned out to be your final tour. So what have you been doing between then and now? I have been traveling a lot, working on my new album, and finding the true meaning of music. It looks like you have been busy. So you and Mia Hall are now a serious couple who look to be getting married soon. When did you get back together? Well we dated in high school and we ran into each other in New York and we have been back together since. Okay well I'm sad that we didn't have a lot of time but good luck and hope to see you soon.

I really liked this book. It talked about how one person can change everything. Maniac Magee was a white boy who crossed into black territory. He had parents, but they tragically died in a trains derailing into a river. Maniac then lived with his aunt and uncle who were always fighting. He decided to run to a place where he was being called to be. He ran to a place where his “kind” never went. He met a girl named Amanda. They bumped into each other while she was on her way to school. He begged her for a book and she lent him one as long as he returned it. Maniac loved to run so he would run all over and read the book Amanda gave him. After running for a while he ran into some bad news kids. They ripped the book the girl gave him, but she caught them and told them to back off. For the next few nights, he stayed at their house. Amanda had two little brothers, Hester and Lester. He played with them cooked for them and even gave them bathes. This didn’t bother him because they were family. One day Maniac told them he had to move on. Amanda told him if he left, he could not return, but he didn’t listen. He stayed in the Bison’s habitat at the local zoo. There he met an old man named Grayson. Grayson kept Maniac safe and taught him a few life skills. Grayson died five days after Christmas and it broke Maniac Magee’s heart. He managed to move on with two more little friends. He convinced them to go to school by bribing them to go. The two boys wanted to go to Mexico but Maniac returned them to their family. There he met one of his best friends Mars Bars. He challenged Maniac to a race, but lost even when Maniac ran backwards. When Maniac had no more places to go, he went back to the Bison’s habitat. There Mars Bars tried to get Maniac to stay at his house, but Maniac refused. Then Amanda came over and told him that he is coming no matter what. “ He knew that finally, truly, at long last, someone was calling him home.”

Dear Diary,
I have began feeling an emptiness in my life that can’t be filled. I am planning to run away again and I don’t think I will ever come back. Tonight I went to wake up my neighbor Q and he took me to do a couple things. First we went to my friend Becca’s house because I heard that my boyfriend Jase was cheating on me with her. I didn’t want to believe it ,but when I went tonight and actually saw it my heart sank. I still can’t believe one of my good friends would do that to me. Q then took me to Lacey’s house ,another one of my friends. I have never felt like she was a very good friend to me so we broke into her car and left a fish under her seat and put an M on the top of the roof to let her know it was me. I felt like Q wasn’t very adventures so I took him to the SunTrust bank building and snuck us in. I let some information out to him on accident about how I didn’t really belong in Orlando. To make sure Q wasn’t so boring after I left I took him to Chuck Parson’s house. Chuck was a real bully to Q before ,but I told him to stop so he did. This adventure was really funny because we waxed off one eyebrow and put Vaseline on the boor handels so he couldn’t open the door. We drove down to Sea World a little after and snuck in. I was bitten by a snake on the ankle and Q helped me get it off. Then he dropped me off at home and now im packing to leave for Agloe. Its not on the maps anymore so it’s a paper town. I think this will be the only place that I will feel like I belong at. I hope my life turns out the way I plan it to be and this is the right way to go.

Me: How do you feel ever since Caine came around?
Sam: I don’t trust him at all. Especially since all the rules let him do whatever he wants.
Me: Who are you with right now?
Sam: I’m usually with my bro Quinn, Astrid, Little Petey, and sometimes Edlilio.
Me: It’s kinda weird that the rules say you can’t do magic tricks, what do you think about it?
Sam: You have gotta keep it a secret though.
Me: Don’t worry, I won’t tell.
Sam: Well, they aren’t just magic tricks, it really is magic. I somehow got this supernatural ability to shoot light from my hands. The girl in the fire shot, well, fire. I know how I got it but it was before the FAYZ. People might become scared and jealous if word gets out.
Me: That’s so cool! What does FAYZ stand for again?
Sam: Fallout Alley Youth Zone. It’s what we call Perdido Beach right now.
Me: Got it. One last thing, how many days until you turn fifteen?
Sam: Five which is why I’’ve gotta go figure out what is going on.

Hello, my name is Malcolm Gladwell and I am going to explain Vivek Ranadive’s life after the book I wrote. After Vivek coached his daughter in basketball he decided to retire from coaching basketball. His daughter was very upset that her father would not be coaching her anymore. She was crying for weeks and weeks until he said, “ Honey the only reason I retired was because I thought you could do better without me”. She then understood that he was doing the best thing for her. A few years later after he retired, a high school team offered him a job as the head coach for men’s basketball. He took the team and led the team to 10 straight high school state championships. Then he had a son that was very talented at basketball and led his team to 3 state titles. Then his son’s senior year, he had told his son that Duke university had offered him a full scholarship. The son understood and was ok with the new job his father was going to have. Vivek was doing well at Duke he was 10-7 in the first couple of games. He then had a major hump to get over. His son had made it to Duke and was competing for a spot on the team. Vivek had a tough choice to make and that was to cut his son from the team, or the number 3 prospect in the country. He came to God and asked Him to help him with this choice. He had decided to cut his son. His son moved on and transferred to Indiana. Vivek ended up with a great carrier as a coach at Duke with 300 wins.

The main problem in this book is that Margo Roth Spiegelman ran away from home and Quentin (also known as "Q") Jacobson tries to find her. Margo is one of the most popular kids in school, when her neighbor Quentin is just an average kid who loves to play video games. Margo ran away a few weeks before senior year had ended. Margo has ran away in the past and usually returns home, but this time she doesn't come back. She ran away the night her and Quentin played pranks on people who had betrayed them. The night of her disappearance she snuck into Quentin's bedroom window and convinced him to get revenge on people who had hurt her. That night she had gotten revenge on Jase (her ex-boyfriend), Becca (her ex best friend), Lacey (her best friend who she believed was a bad friend who judged her outward appearance), and Chuck Parson who had bullied Quentin. Not only did they get revenge on their enemies but also went to the Sun Trust bank building to get a view Orlando, Florida. There she tells Quentin that Orlando is like a Papertown. They also sneak into Sea World and get caught by a security guard. After they go to Sea World they return home, and that is the last time Margot is seen. That night Margo runs away, and Quentin realizes the love he has for her. From this point on, Quentin searches for Margo with the clues she leaves behind, and not knowing if she is dead or alive.

Percy Jackson is a book filled with a great amount of adventure and mysteries. It is sometimes confusing to follow along but once you start getting into more depth of the book it gets better. Up to the point I am reading now I find this book very interesting and fascinating to read. Some people may not like adventure or mystery books, but every once in a while I feel like reading one. Percy Jackson travels through abnormal things and along the way meets new people and even makes new friends. Sometimes in this story he even is attacked by things we couldn’t even imagine to be real or made up. This book is detailed and it gives me a great picture in my head whenever I read a chapter or scene. As I read along Percy goes through obstacles and unimaginable things to reach what he wants to reach. Magic and adventure takes over Percy’s mind and he follows wherever his mind tells him to go. Though this book is very wordy and lengthy but I still enjoy reading it and following along. The author is very precise and specific on the way he describes thing and it sets a really good picture in people’s minds to help understand what may be going on in the chapter or scene. I love the way the author is and how he wrote this book using such specific words and how he helps me set a picture in my mind to understand the book more.
Percy Jackson is a book filled with a great amount of adventure and mysteries. At one part of the book, Percy's Pen turns into a razor sharp sword which was given to him by his teacher. Even his teacher turned into a bat-like creature that attacks him which is why he used the razor like sword. This book reminds me of The Hobbit and how Gandalf's wand can be used for magic and so many other things that are magical.It is sometimes confusing to follow along but once you start getting into more depth of the book it gets better. Raina:Yes,my friends actually accepted me. They also loved art just like me. They also didn't call me a baby,trick me into wearing the weirdest outfits and makeup,they didn't turn their backs on me, and they didn't say I wore boy clothes.

Dear Diary,
Its getting harder down here. Hard to breathe with all the dust and debre getting kicked up from the miners train. Im starving, I stink to high heavens, and I just wish I could get a break. But, I cant. We had entered this dark cave, they are called Sugar Traps. It was all normal until my brother, Cal, had just collapsed to the floor. He had been attacked by one of the vicious plants. They shoot this white powder on you that makes your skin burn and releases poison into your blood. I had to get out of there, the burning was for real. Right before my eyes I had witnessed my brother die. That couldn't be it. Fortunately it was not. Days later Chester and I were ambushed by this man, Drake, and girl, Elliot. It turns out they weren't to slice our throats but instead to help up. He had asked about Cal, who I had been talking about. I told him all about it. Before I could end he was packing and heading to the cave. He hadn't told me until after we saved him that you have to basically scare the bloody hell out of them. We nearly drowned him until he started breathing. He wasn't well of course. Chester and I had to carry him back while Drake led and Elliot brought up the rear. We had to be like his butlers for the next week, due to the fact that he couldn't walk. I had a chat with Drake. He said he didn't want to stay at this same location too long. I told Cal what he said, which was, "If he doesn't pull his own weight we leave him." I think that scare him to death because now hes doing his own personal needs.

My life has changed ever since my uncle died. I was very close to him and I liked him a lot! People think that his books he wrote were just made up. Well, I know the truth. These books are real events that really happened! Skulduggery Pleasant, explained to me that the books were based on magic that excises even to this day! Skulduggery is one of the only friends I have. He is a living skeleton. I know it sounds crazy, but you have to believe me. Me and Skulduggery solve mysteries together. He may be annoying sometimes, but I still like him. Anyways, we found out that his old foe, Nefarian Serpine, it trying to raise the faceless ones, or at least we thought so. He had many allies to distract us. Even one of the high council mages were working with him! We had many betrayals which broke my heart. Anyways, we found the location of Serpine. He wasn't trying to raise back the faceless ones, but he was trying to get the Book of Names! I was steaming mad! This whole time, we thought that he was trying to raise the faceless ones, but the real reason was that he was trying to get the Book of Names! If he had the book of names, he could rule the whole world. Not only that, he had the Specter of Ancients. With that powerful weapon, he would be unstoppable. We needed to stop him. We stormed where he was and fought him. Skulduggery and me started losing. Then one of his friends, Mr. Bliss, came and helped us. We gained our courage and destroyed the book of names. Phew! I think I got everything. I hope you believe me for what I said. It may be confusing, but it's all true.

Essay
Ellie's Story is a book filled with lots of fear, concern, and happiness. Ellie is a search and rescue dog who saved lots of people. Although she can't find people anymore because she lost her scent, she still saves them in her own special way. She visits hospitals and cheers up little children, and she goes to different schools to show them why her job is important. Ellie is a very special dog with many talents.

The day my grandma had a stroke freaked me out. I didn’t know where I would stay since my parents died. It turns out I am staying at a really stinky orphanage. There are a lot of kids there; there are probably 500 kids, I really hate it here. There are a lot of babies that cry. I wish I were at home and everything would go back to normal. In the mean time I have to try to get strong so that I can go home and take care of my grandma. Today I asked to see my grandma but all the workers said tomorrow. I got so mad that I am sitting on the bus chair. The bus was very stuffy and I couldn’t wait until I got off the bus. I was walking for a long time when I spotted a gas station. I went inside and looked at all the food. The food looked so good at that point; but I remembered that I only had 75cents. I looked around and saw a really good looking cocoa bar. It was a $1.00. The lady said that she would buy it for me if I gave her the 75 cents. I grab the bar unwrapped it and took a bite. The bite was so soft, sweet like a cotton candy. I was walking to the bus station when I heard a gunshot. I ran to the back of the building thinking I was safe. The bad guy saw me and asked for my name, I responded saying” poppy.” The police came and made sure I was ok. Then they took me to eat. I asked why I had to be there. To be honest I didn’t feel comfortable. I told them everything and they said for me to stay some were safe so I stayed at this old ladies house. After a week I was fine with it. I got to see my grandma. She was out of the hospital. A week later when I was going to see my grandma she had one more stroke. This made me very scared. We went and saw her but she wasn’t doing well. We left and went home for the night I got ready for bed and feel asleep fast.

Dorothy: It would be a pleasure.
Me: What was it like to be swept up in a cyclone and sent to the Land of Oz?
Dorothy: Well, I was very frightened at first. It was a very strange land. My, what a beautiful land it was. It was also not something I was used to.
Me: How do you view the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion?
Dorothy: I thought that they were rather odd and queer creatures at first. Though when I heard their stories I learned about their hardships and struggles. This helped me grow a strong friendship with them. They all risked their lives to help me and Toto get to the wizard.
Me: Why does Toto mean so much to you?
Dorothy: Toto means a lot to me because back in Kansas where everything is gray, he brings me joy. When I am sad or frightened Toto is my guide through struggles.
Me: That is quite the relationship you have with your dog.
Dorothy: Toto is much more than a dog he is family.
Me: This is my last question for you Dorothy. If you claimed that the Land of Oz was such a beautiful place, why were you in such a hurry to leave?
Dorothy: Yes, often times I think about this question myself. I guess that it was because I didn’t know what would happen if I stayed in Oz. My Family would be heartbroken to have lost their daughter. They would have assumed that I was dead. I want to leave you with a question. If you were ripped apart from your family and sent to a strange land, would you stay?

The problem in The Emerald Atlas is that there is three orphans, and no one wants to adopt them until one day the Miss Crumley the head mistress of the Edgar Allen Poe Home for Hopeless and Incorrigible Orphans got a letter from Dr. Stanislaus Pym from Cambridge Falls wants the children. Mrs Crumly sends the orphans Emma, Michael, and Kate off to Cambridge Falls. When they arrive they realize there are no children in Cambridge Falls. When they get to the house of Dr. Pym they are welcomed by Abraham a servant of the house. The orphans looked around inside the house and found an office with a mysterious book. to their surprise there was nothing inside a photo of Cambridge Falls a long time ago Abraham had given them had fell into the book all of a sudden the orphans were all transported to where the photo was taken. That was then when they first saw the Countess of Cambridge Falls the children saw here talking to a crowd of kids she had taken when they noticed black foul smelling creatures gardening the children from behind. The creatures are known as Screechers. The Orphans were soon back in the office. In the next Chapter Michael used the picture in the book to go back, he had lost the picture he had found the past Abraham with a camera he had asked Abraham to take a picture of him, the picture appeared back in the book . Emma and Kate saw the book with the picture of Michael took a picture in the room so they could get back. Emma and Kate were transported through the picture. Now the orphans were stuck in the past and so the journey began. The orphans were to save Cambridge Falls and the children from the Countess and escape the past. The orphans will meet new friends and have many battles along with wonderful adventures.

Dear Diary,
Oh my gosh! I lost my Diary today, so I had to start a new one. But it’s just not the same. My friends, Chloe, Zoe and I, were looking at the library to see if it got mixed in with other books. We looked in my locker also to see if it got buried in there. We didn’t have any luck though. I pray my Diary didn’t get into hands that can’t be trusted, or something bad will happen. The thing that scares me the most is having somebody read all my weird, embarrassing thoughts.
We had a fundraiser to raise money for my school. The fundraiser was a kissing booth where you purchase a kiss. The last person to go to the booth was Brandon. He gave me money, so I kissed him. People say it was just a dare to get free, cheesy pizza, but I really wished that he actually wanted to kiss me for real. Then the other day I saw Brandon at Queasy Cheesy with a pizza and soda, which is exactly what the coupon was for from the fundraiser. This made me think that the rumor was true. Of course, me being me, I had to find out the truth. My friends and I called Queasy Cheesy and pretended to be Brandon, needing the copy of the receipt for “tax purposes.” When we got the receipt, we saw that he paid with a gift card! I couldn’t believe it! I am so angry. I thought I could trust him, but now I see that he is just like all the other guys my age. I hope nobody blabs my humiliating story to the whole school. However, it probably won’t matter anymore because the whole school probably already think I am a joke.
If I survive the embarrassment, I hope to write to you soon.

Suddenly everything was so different. I had never felt the calmest breeze, smelled the freshest air, or seen the most beautiful castle in my life. I’ve been having similar dreams but they definitely weren’t like this moment. I was shocked at how unexpected it was to open my eyes and see a massive castle glowing in the darkness. Then I heard an echo. It seemed far away but slowly started getting closer. I turned my head and there was a man who was older looking that had a nametag that said WAYNE in big bold letters. In a way this man seemed scary. He started talking to me and startled me by telling me my shirt was glowing. I didn’t even notice until I looked down and there it was glowing. Wayne started showing me around this place. I started walking towards places that reminded me of something. I had this feeling that I had been there before but I didn’t know for sure. Once I heard Toontown, Frontierland, and Tomorrowland coming from the voice of Wayne it hit my mind. I didn’t think I truly knew that he had been here before until he started naming the characters that I started seeing such as Cinderella, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. The feeling of that moment was indescribable. I felt like something crazy was going to happen. Not just something crazy that I’m going to forget about five minutes later. Not the happy feeling of the magical castle, seeing a Disney character, or glowing pajamas. Something that comes from the beauty of God’s mind and God’s mind is much more beautiful than a Disney character, a magical castle, or glowing pajamas if you really think about it. The last thing Wayne said to me was to look at the moon so I did. I looked up and there the moon was. It was glowing and overpowering the sky more anything else I had seen. The moon was there until I woke up realizing it was all just a dream. Then I looked outside and there was the moon glowing in the sky at 2:00 am. I finally realized why I had that amazing feeling because of God. He is the reason that castle was glowing, the moon was shining in the sky, and why the amazing magical land exists.

The conflict in the book was that an ape named Shift found a lion skin and made it into a disguise for his friend Puzzle the donkey. When Shift dressed Puzzle up, he pretended that Puzzle was the Narnian’s god, everyone believed Shift. Shift kept Puzzle in a stable so no one could see him and if the Narnians wanted to talk to “Aslan” (Aslan is the Narnian’s god) they had to tell Shift and he would tell “Aslan”. But the king of Narnia (Tirian) didn’t believe the ape because a drayad came to the king and told him that “Aslan” gave orders to cut down all the trees (which would kill the drayads) and Tirian knew Aslan would never kill drayads. Tirian went down to the stable with Jewel his unicorn, and saw that there were people of a different country cutting down the trees. Tirian drew his sword and fought the men but was captured and brought to the ape. The ape had him tied to the tree. That night he had a dream that brought two people from our world to help him. The people that came were Jill and Eustace. They untied Tirian and went to a safe house. Tirian was worried about Jewel the unicorn because they took Jewel as a prisoner too but Tirian didn’t know where Jewel was. Later that night they went to the stable again and found Jewel at the back of the stable. Once they got Jewel they started to go back to the safe house. Jill brought Puzzle back to the safe house so they could figure out why he dressed up like Aslan and did all of the terrible things they heard him do. He said that he was forced into doing it. The next day they tried getting more allies by showing Puzzle to the dwarfs, but they decided to be on no one’s side except for a dwarf named Poggin, he joined Tirian’s side. After Poggin joined their side they went back to the stable and fought with the people that were pretending that Puzzle was Aslan. They were fighting for a long time until they started losing the fight, when they started losing the fight they all were forced into the stable. There was a whole country inside the stable and that’s when Tirian met Tash which is the god of the Calormenes which are the people that have been working with the ape, but Edmund, Peter, Lucy, Digory, and Polly (which are characters from previous books) were there to make Tash go away. Aslan was there and told them to go up and in to the country. They started walking until they met a man named Emeth that joined their party. They all realized where they were and they were happy when they found out, they were in Aslan’s country.

But the Doors of Death are not far from you Percy, and don’t fear of summoning Mrs. O’Leary she will not be affected by the memory changing of Tartarus. But the others are really fighting there way to the Doors of Death on the mortal side. But there has been some problems such as having 2 Dwarves attacking the ship which brought them off track but they are closer to the mortal side than you are closer to the Tartarus side so go after I know its hard but it will be worth it. Annabeth is very tired try and take a return sometimes she just can take any more climbing for right now. And no offense but your not in the best shape ever. And Gaea is growing stronger by the hour she is about to rise in 15 days so hurry Percy every hour in Tartarus is a waste of time you need to hurry Percy or they will find you and kill you. And remember the others are coming get for you Percy Nico has been a huge help in finding the Doors of Death but he is growing week. We just got back from that road trip and it was not the best, so first we stayed at a motel that had cigarette stains on the bed and the pool was empty. I had to sleep in the closet and there was a horrible smell, I found out that it was coming from my brother Rodrick’s socks. I woke up hearing something in the hall and when I went to go see there were the kids I saw at the hot tub earlier, and they were riding around on the cleaning cart. I gave them a piece of my mind and the youngest one started to cry. About a minute later his father came out in his underwear.
I ran to the room and tried to sleep. The next day we went to a fair which looked pretty fun. We went to a tent and Rodrick entered a Foulest Footwear contest and won, but then his shoe was sent off to the national competition and he didn’t have a shoe. Apparently my little brother Manny had guessed the weight of a pig and won a baby pig. Ever since that fair I have had to wait to eat and let Rodrick use my shoe, and the pig bit me and I had to go to the vet because there were no doctors in the area. After that we went to a water park because our van broke and we left our stuff in the lockers and lost the key. In the end it still wasn’t the best but it could be worse.

One day I went to breakfast with my friends named Dewey, Sid, and Monty. We were talking about the shark attack. Everyone was looking at the newspaper because something strange had happened in the creek. We were all scared of the creek. Uncle Jerry was scared too we kept on talking about the creek. On Sunday we all went to check out the creek till we saw something. Wait guys I think I see something I see a shark it has a red eye it's eyes were killer eyes. We all ran because it was so scary to look at. The next morning we told a captain he was the only one who knew about the shark. He was on a boat enjoying his coffee until he herd a thump! He looked over the side of his boat and then he saw a shark it jumped out of the water and destroyed the boat. The captain jumped in the water and held on to the barrel. The shark was circling around him it got closer and closer until the shark bumped him and ripped out his leg. The captain grabbed a knife from his pocket and stabbed the shark. He felt lots of pain on his leg. After he told the story we grabbed our swimming suits. We went down to the creek and played by the shallow. But Dewey through the ball and it went to the deep end were I couldn't see anything. I saw a sharp thing poking out of the water and I couldn't believe it was a shark I swam as fast as possible but the shark was too fast. The shark was under my feet and it went for the kill it ripped out my right leg. I was crying so hard my face became red. The shark went back and my friend pulled me out and got the ambulance. It was the worst day of my life my mom was sad and my friends were sad too. Dewey felt bad that I had to get the ball. After a couple of hours they sent me back home and I fell asleep

This book tells the very scary story of losing a daughter. It does not tell you how to get over it or move on. Levi shows any doubts we might have about suffering, revealing the only thing that really matters in a transparent and very real relationship with God. Get to that point and maybe then we can begin to our feel sad for our losses in a way that has lasting impact on a broken world. That impact, that calling our grief now becomes a gateway, rather than a barrier. I'm thankful to Levi for writing this book and to the family who lost their daughter for their example in suffering through painful grief and sharing this story.Through the Eyes of a Lion reflects Levi's strength of character with own his own way of telling a story. If you read this book with an understanding of the richness of Gods, you will spend less time thinking about our worldview or thinking of a regular church questions and more of your prayers going and talking to a God that helpes and heals your pain. Reading the book through In a single sitting, I can say that it's a really great book of the best kind words that provide a way for healing and motivation to keep running to God with all of your heart. And at the end of the day I really enjoyed how this book shows how God will keep you strong.

It’s Risa again. I’m tired. I’m tired of running. I’m tired of hiding. I’m tired of this baby. I’m tired of being tired. If Connor had not have taken this storked baby, everything would be better. Things would not be okay, just better. We would still be running without the baby. We would still be hiding without this baby. The cops would not be trying to find us if we did not have a baby. Lev would have still called the police, but it would be easier to run and hide without the baby. Why me? Anybody else could have been chosen to be Unwound, but they chose me. Was I really that bad at playing piano? Was I really that bad in general? There are so many questions that I still have to yet find answers to. I know one thing, though. I am going to kill Lev next time I see him. How dare he turn Connor and me in? Does he not understand what being unwound means? It means death. Being unwound means being killed. They kill you and then harvest your body. They do this because they believe if your body could not have done something great, maybe one part of your body can. It’s crazy, right? I cannot believe that people would do such a thing. I would never want to send anybody to be unwound. It seems like the worst way to go. Well, that’s all I have for today. I’ll talk to you when I can.

I'm a little nervous because I've been in this little room with two other girls for a few years now. One likes me the other doesn't really, at least I don't think so. I'm Clark and I'm eighteen now. And being eighteen means things are going to change for me. Not good things though. Everyone who's in this facility is a criminal. We've all done something that you can say we should regret. All I know is that when one of us criminals turns eighteen something bad happens. I've seen people, young adults walk by my door, go into a room, and come out hardly being able to stand. Two guards are always holding them up trying to keep them from falling to there knees. My hearts pounding knowing I'm eighteen and going to have to go into that room, coming out nearly dead. Wait... I also forgot to say one thing. We're not on earth. We're far away. I guess it's like living in space everyday till your that age. I'm not to afraid of leaving this life. If you want to call it that. They keep sending people in and out. A man walked into my room, a guard actually. And made no eye contact with me. He took me into the room. "Wait here," he said. Now I'm nervous. I hadn't had this feeling before about this topic alone. A man walked in. I believe he was the doctor. He told the guard to get out. Like maybe he didn't want to see me die. Why would anyone want to see a human being having done nothing to deserve this kind of punishment at the age of eighteen. To tell you more about the facility with many guards and people who don't care about what their doing to us and our families. Family...... My parents are no longer alive thanks to these people. The doctor I knew was going to do something that would end my life and this diary forever. I closed my eyes. I felt a pinch like a needle making its way through the layers of skin. Not knowing what was going to happen next I opened my eyes. I thought it would be all blurry but it was quit clear. I had not been injected with any fluid of some sort. Two bracelet like clasps were put on both wrist. They had to pinch through my skin to stay. The doctor told me it would be a way for the people watching me to see what my heart rate was at. I was confused. Why would they need to know that? I'll always be here now. I'm not dead. Soon after the guard stepped back in and took my hand. We walked out of the room to I know not where. What was going to happen next I wonder? They were taking me and several other eighteen year olds on to a ship of some sort. They were making a departure to..... EARTH.

One of the greatest things I have ever heard was “ So, who is the fastest pitcher in baseball? Nobody really knows.” – Baseball Almanac, 2003. My name is Joe Stoshack, but my friends call me Stosh and I play baseball. My coach is Flip Valentini. I have a special power to travel back in time with baseball cards. My coach has a radar gun and we want to travel back in time to the year 1942 to see who the fastest pitcher to ever play baseball was. It was exciting because we got to dress up like old time gangsters. I thought we looked pretty cool. Right before we went to 1942 my mom packed up my stuff and told Flip to take care of me. Traveling back to 1942 was scary because when I got there Flip was nowhere to be found. Little did I know Flip was the twenty year old kid sitting across from me. I did not consider the age difference with time travel. I did not recognize Flip. He looked so young. Any and every player we came across said that Satchel Paige was the fastest pitcher ever. I do not think I was prepared for what life was like in 1942. Blacks and whites had completely separate restaurants, baseball leagues, and bathrooms. It saddened me and I did not understand how people were so unfair. We went to many baseball games, but surprisingly ran into Satchel Paige on the street. We showed Satch the radar gun because we did not know how to clock him if he did not know what it was. We told Satch we were from the future and traveled back to 1942 to find who the fastest pitcher was.

My name is Hutch and I am the best shortstop on my team. I live in Southern Florida, and play for the Boynton Beach Post 226 Cardinals. I now play second base because a new kid named Darryl took my spot. Some people think he is the best shortstop. It is the finals and we are playing the Palm Beach Braves in the 17 and under league. It is the ninth inning with two outs, bases loaded. The Braves are down seven to six. If we win we go to the South Florida regional’s next weekend. If we lose we go home and mow lawns. The Braves cleanup hitter, Billy Ray Manning, known as man up manning, was up. One hit and our season is over. One out and we go to the regional finals. Billy Ray hit a smoking groundball to Darryl, and he threw Billy out at first. We won. However; that ball should have been mine, I wanted it, I am the shortstop.
I wish my Dad would go to my games. He never goes. He is busy working two jobs. He played in the minors, but never made it to the pros. Now he just sits and watches baseball on TV. He does not say much. I think he is depressed, baseball was his life. I really wish he would watch me play. I miss him there.
Several days later we played in the regionals. There are eight teams. We have to win three games to play in the World Series. The World Series is going to be a best of three series and be on TV. It’s the first game of the finals and we were down the whole game, even though I hit a home run on my second at bat. In the ninth inning I got a two run walk off homerun. As I rounded third base I looked in the stands and my Dad was there to see it. My winning home run was also on TV.

Dear Diary,
I woke up in this box that had some weird material in it and it was like an elevator--it just kept going up and up until it stopped. There were doors above me and they opened up and I saw a bunch of teenagers standing there. They were all looking at me. Then, a boy came out of the crowd and gave me a hand out of the box. He said "welcome to the glade" I was just so confused.
I looked around and saw a little village. Then the guy who picked me out of the box was named Alby and he started to show me around the glade. He showed me where I would sleep and where we would eat and where the bathroom was and the maze. I started walking up to it. Then, I felt a cold hand on my shoulder and it jerked me back and I fell on the floor. He said, "I wouldn't go in there shank that's the maze. I wouldn't go in there if I were you." Then he just walked away. When I went to my room, I met a kid named Chuck. He said that he was my friend and I accepted it. I heard a huge alarm go off and every body went crazy. I asked what was going on and they said the box was coming up again. It was only a girl with a note and it said she's the last one ever.
So, that was my first day in the glade.

Thats a great question, I am not going to lie, I have thaught about giving up and feeling sorry for myself once or twice. But every day I just whisper to myself to never give in and never give up.
I know it’s a sensitive subject but does it really hurt to know that you could have been the best in the world in football and maybe the best athlete?
I have to be honest it hurts so much. The thing is that I know that I could be the best around.

Apparently I was a demigod and she was one of the guardian spirits of ancient Rome. Lupa also trained me to fight a bit, just like she normally does with younger demigods. Now that I think about it, Lupa taught me quite a bit of valuable information and really helped me out a bit in some tough situations. Since that day when I woke up with amnesia, the sisters of Medusa (who were gorgons) were chasing me down, since I guess I had slain Medusa. Inevitably we met soon enough, and they surely planned to take my life. Eventually these sisters really just became quite pesky. When I thought I had killed them, soon enough we met again. And when they thought they would finally kill me, one of them screwed something up. I remember sliding down a hill on a “Bargain Mart” food tray in which the sisters were giving out free samples of their famous snacks. And you hadn’t guessed already, they extremely poisoned, of course. As exciting as the entry is, I must go. I have found safety here for a while now, but I have to keep moving. I will leave this behind for whoever may want or find it.

Carlos: I think dogs are vicious pack animals. My mother tells me they eat boys that don’t behave. That’s why I always try to be a good son.
Joe: Have you ever had a bad experience with dogs?
Carlos: No, dogs are not allowed on the Isle.
Joe: That’s good. What is your favorite subject in school?
Carlos: Selfishness 101 is my favorite.
Joe: Who is your teacher for that class?
Carlos: Mother Gothel.
Joe: Cool, what is the best thing she has taught you?
Carlos: She teaches us all the time that we are supposed to be fashionably, annoyingly late to everything. She also teaches us how to take good selfies. She has her selfies everywhere in the classroom.
Joe: Who are your best friends at school?
Carlos: Evie. I tell her all my secrets.
Joe: Secrets, what secrets?
Carlos: It’s a secret, I can’t tell you, but I can tell you I’m making a very special contraption in school. It’s something that would change the Isle forever.

Dear Diary,
The last week has been completely action packed. First it was just like any other week. My dad was getting married to Q’s mom and after they would start their tour. Then everything changed. Someone started following us. It wasn’t a good following us either. Most people would follow our family because we are famous, but this guy was following us because it looked like he was inspecting us. Now this wasn’t Boone. He wouldn’t be seen at anywhere near a wedding. This guy was very suspicious but very good at hiding. Luckily I do nothing but observe anything and everyone. That is just one of my hobbies because I don’t like talking to new people. That’s why I’m not too excited about this tour. We will we swarmed by media and or stalked by creepers. This is just the life that our parents have brought upon us. So now back to the man in black. That is what I will call him from now on. The man in black was very good at what he did but like I said I noticed him. The wedding ended and he was gone. Our parents started their tour and it was almost in full swing. We were being taken care of by some security that latter we knew as CIA operatives working under cover to protect Q and I. Boone introduced us to them. Boone used to be a CIA agent but like all the greats he got old and now is a real roadie. When he worked with the CIA he would smuggle equipment with the stage equipment because it all looked about the same. I think this is enough for today’s entry.

I do not even know really what to talk about right now, sometimes I wonder why God has done this to me, to my family. Out of all the families in the entire world He chose mine to go through this pain. My daughter was only five years old when she suffered an asthma attack on December 20 and died… five days before Christmas. She was at her grandmother’s house when this happened, and when we got the call we immediately rushed over to their house to try and help our little girl. Sometimes I wonder how God thought that we could ever deserve this. After time I realized that this wasn’t a form of punishment from God, this was actually just a test from Him. He wanted to see if I would be able to still keep my eyes on the Lord and not lose my faith in him. I knew when Lenya died that it would be hard. No family should be choosing caskets for their daughter or sister, only days before Christmas. Flipping through the casket catalogue, I honestly thought that I was going to throw up. It made me sick to my stomach, looking through all of these bland, disgusting caskets. To think that when throughout her life I helped her up when she fell or put a band- aid on every scratch, that I couldn’t help when she needed me most. December 25…five days after my daughter’s death is officially the “Christmas from hell” to me and my family.

Dear Diary,
Things have just been getting weirder and weirder around the Glade. First the sun disappears, second, the Maze doors didn’t close overnight, and lastly I realized that I can talk to the new girl in the Glade through my mind. We think that WICKED gave us this power for whatever reason.
She said that she was the one who started all of this. Gally came back out of the Maze spouting some nonsense about how the Grievers were coming for us all. We also figured it out an order in the Maps. There are eight sections of the Maze, and each one would spell a letter each time rearranged the map. The first letter was F. The words that we had come up with were float and catch. When Gally came back to the Glade, I was scared, scared that he was going to kill me. He was out for revenge and was looking for me. The question I have for him is, “How did he live in the Maze for almost a month?” He had no food, or water with him when he left, so what did he live off of? Never mind. Gally bolted back into the Maze, and Minho raced after him. He came back with no sign of Gally. Great, now he’s still on the loose. The Changing supposedly gives you back some of your memories. I might go through The Changing to see why we are all here. Alby went through the changing, but didn’t get anything out of it. We need to learn more about the Creators.

I love the way the author put every detail of the Shultz life. Just like how the author explained all of the moves to the reader instead of leaving them guessing. I do not like how at some points in the book it seems a little bit slow. At some points there was nothing to talk about so the author would speak about something he had already written about. I loved how the characters all had something to do with how Mark and Dave will get to be where they are. I love how the author tricks you with the title and you have to read more into it before it is revealed. I hate how Dave doesn’t play a more lead role because of what happens to him later through the book. I hate how the story goes back and forth for what seems like forever. The story seems to morph and change the farther I read into it. I love how the author shows the progress through Dave and Marks high school and college career. I love that because without those these highlights of the careers no one would know how or where the boys got there. I don’t like how the author gave away that they got the gold medal when the story was on them growing up. All in all I think that Foxcatcher is an amazing book so far and I hope it shall be amazing the rest of the book.

Me: And what was your reaction to that, your sister like she was pretty scared, or at least it sounded like it.
Gillette: Well at first I was kind of confused thinking why would any one want to invade our small town. Then I was thinking it is just a rummer going around.
Me: So once you got out of the pool and your sister was still swimming then you saw the colored boy, what were you thinking.
Gillette: Well there were so many things going on in my head.I just remember not being able to get the words out in time and seeing my sister touch the colored boy and scream so loud.I was finally able to jump in to save my sister.
Me: So in the book Deputy Davis comes and it sounds like you and your sister were very scared.
Gillette: Well I wouldn't say that I was scared I would say more like nerves about what would happen to us.
Me: After the whole situation was over, Deputy Davis dropped you guys off at home it says that you did't talk at all, is that true.
Gillette: That is true, we didn't talk because we new we would get in trouble.

Dear Diary,
I have never watched a cat before, but I think everything will go smoothly, especially with Amanda helping me. I think we will do a good job and make the Caplans’ proud. But I do have some theories that things might not go as planned, but we have known Bella (the cat) for a while. I shouldn’t worry I think me and Amanda will be fine. The first day of taking care of Bella went good. She didn’t give us any trouble and I was looking forward to the second day. When the second day came I started expecting trouble because Amanda got her gum on Bella’s fur. We held her down and cut the gum out with a pair of scissors, after that I knew bad things are coming our way. That afternoon we went to feed Bella, we went but had to look around awhile to find her. We found her and started to go to the kitchen when I saw that the door was wide open. I ran to it and tried to shut it before Bella ran out but she got out before I could shut it. We chased her up and down the lawn until finally she ran out into the street when a truck came and hit her. We stood in horror then the driver jumped out and apologized. We knew we were in big trouble. When the driver left we went to get the body but it was gone. We didn’t know what happened to it but we decided that the driver took it. We started thinking of a plan but all we came up with was to go and buy a cat to replace Bella. We found a place called Cat Heaven and went there to find a cat that looked like Bella. We found a cat that looked exactly like Bella but it wasn’t for sale so we decided to steal it. When we got home everything seemed okay but then the trouble started…

Its dark right now, I feel like a huge weight, my wet, muddy pants like hands reaching out of the ground and pulling me down. My shoes wet and filled to the top with mud. I’m walking through the dense, humid woods with Kate, Emma, and some man we just met who saved us from the vicious wolves the Countess sent after us. This forest is so muggy like a wet heavy blanket. Earlier was so frightening my legs shaking, fists clenching, teeth grinding I was frozen in fear of the wolves. I can’t wait to fall asleep, anywhere, I don’t even care. I am nervous to see what is in store for us tomorrow.

We have found shelter from the harsh night in the man’s house. The man told us his name is Gabriel. He left the house with Kate, Emma, and I to rest. We have all hung up our clothes on the mantle to dry by the fire. It’s so warm in here, a great place to get cozy with a blanket. The heavy bearskin blanket is like a warm hug protecting me from the harsh cold of the night
