John, click on the comments section to fill in your reading response to the novels you read this summer. Enjoy! I am looking forward to reading your thoughts and ideas.
They told her, " Get up from there! Get up from there!" The first time she did the second time she sat. This book inspires me knowing what African Americans went through to just sit.Next time I'm sitting in the bus I'll know JoAnn Robinson,Rosa Parks,Martin Luther King and many more walked ,so I could sit so that we could all sit in peace no matter who you are.Even though they gained freedom for the future,in the present it continues on a larger scale. I think if people were to read this book they could see how far we have come. Not just African Americans but as a nation . I believe this book would open the eyes of the people so that ,"God Almighty has spoken from Washington DC" can be heard once more. I recommend this book for our government officials all the way down to the bruthas in the hood.
Hello, I loved reading about all your summer memories. Now it is time to start blogging about your novels. Remember each entry should be at least 250 to 350 words. Be thoughtful and thorough. Every post is viewed by the class (and me) so check your spelling and grammar. Enjoy! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
This is the place where you post your responses
